Corporation will open two more restaurants outside the Great Metropolitan Area.

In a world where consumers are being more conscious about the importance of environmental protection and avoid the Global warming, bigger companies are seeking to achieve the demands of their clients.

Burger King Costa Rica is a clear example of the above, according to John W. Chidsey, Company’s worldwide CEO.

The previous because the oil use to fry the fries, is later processed in a plant and converted in bio-combustible to move 25 trucks that are part of the vehicle fleet of the company. This was an idea from the national entrepreneurs.

Besides this, the political and economical stability, and the ample middle class of the country are major factors for the company to expand.

Actually there are 33 Burger King restaurants in the country, hiring 1,000 people. For this year, Corporacion de Alimentos del Rey, S.A. (CARSA) expects to open two more, which specific locations were not revealed just for enterprise strategies, even though is well known that they will be outside the Metropolitan Area. Each restaurant will hire between 25 to 50 people depending on the size.

Besides the corporation is expecting to give a new face to at least to three of the restaurants, image already used by Burger King Fuente de la Hispanidad in front of the San Pedro Mall, the first restaurant opened in Costa Rica in 1990.

When talking about social responsibility, Burger King donated a swimming pool to the Obras del Espiritu Santo (Holy Spirit Works) for recreational, sports and rehabilitation for more than 700 children that the entity looks after them.

The foreign entrepreneurs consider Costa Rica as one of the countries where the corporation is better developed and it will continue like this.

Salomon Aizenman, president of CARSA, commented that in an interview with President Arias they were several foreign enterprises which are planning to come to Costa Rica, called his attention. He didn’t specify which are those enterprises, but he highlighted the excellent conditions that the country has to attract foreign investment.
