The cost of the raw materials for construction like iron, concrete, wood, cable, and glass will be stable this year compare with 2009. This will be an absolute perfect moment for investing in Costa Rica Real Estate.
The stability in the interest rate, good financial possibilities and the current international market conditions are the main causes that hold this projection. Real Estate Agents hope that more investors continue looking for homes for sale in Costa Rica.
Another sign to look forward is that the international demand of the materials hasn’t increased, because of the decreasing of dwelling constructions in the United States.
“We hope a stability on the price of construction not on the materials separated, because any material price can go up or down. But in general it is expected that construction doesn’t suffer significant variations”, said Ricardo Castro, President of the Costa Rican Construction Chamber.
A same position planned the enterprise ArcelorMittal, iron rods producer, where estimate that the cost of the products won’t register a major change.
On this same direction, representatives of “Constructora Volio and Trejos and Asociados” were manifested. “Last year products such as iron, concrete and other metals dropped between 20 and 30 percent. I don’t believe that they drop more because there have been signs that constructions is been activated nationally”, Said Gerardo Volio, Executive of that firm.
If the stability keeps its course, it is estimated that the construction sector will be benefit because the rebound projected is between 3% and 5% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It is also expected an increment of 13% in the quantity of meters square constructed more than 2009.
