Soon in Costa Rica the amount of brazilian tourists may increase widely, thanks to an agreement that has been signed between Costa Rica and Brazil.

This agreement, called "Open Skies", allows both nations to develop an air traffic without bounds.

In other words, the brazilian Airlines that are interest in coming to Costa Rica and viceversa can start doing it, also it authorizes the aircraft of both nations to make stops from third countries and to the transfer of passengers.

This agreement it's very important for both of the countries, in Costa Rica it will increase the number of South American and Brazilian tourists (which has a strong middle class population) and it will also increase the Costa Rica Real Estate.

Brazil since a long time ago has been economically growing, now it has become the strongest economy in Latin America and it's pointed that it will continue growing. A proof of their improvement it's that the country continued to grow even in the time of crisis.

Something important to highlight it's that it will be the next home of the 2014 World Cup and the Olympics 2016 so its important that have this agreement so if you are in Costa Rica you could go easily.

The next process is that the Congresses of both countries ratify the agreement, however the negotiations included that the air traffic freedoms apply immediately. This allows airlines to begin their paperwork to fly to Costa Rica or Brazil, without having completed the ratification.

These type of agreements aren't new to Costa Rica because 30 years ago it was signed one free air traffic agreement with the USA, now USA has become the major market source of tourists in the country.
