The owners of hotels in Costa Rica have a great opportunity to increase their incomes thanks to this new giant hotel chain Choice Hotels. Choice Hotel have greedy plans of expansion not only in Costa Rica.

This growing opportunity it's aimed for the independent owners of a hotel with least 40 rooms or more that are interested in joining any of the Comfort Inn, Quality, Clarion and Sleep Inn, that correspond to the Choice Hotel chain.

El Grupo Real Hotels and Resorts, a division of Grupo Poma of Salvadoran origin, has ambitious plans for expansion through the franchise mode. This for the Choice Hotels International chain, which operates the four brands mentioned above.

One of the objectives of this expansion it's to place their flags in at least 2 hotels in Costa Rica that are already built.

In order to make the business viable, the hotel that wants to join must provide an application fee of $25 thousand, this money it's intended just to make changes to the hotel to suit the minimum standards of the hotel brand.

The firm will also have a franchise fee, but this will not be a problem for the owners because is one of the lowest in the market, said Rodolfo Guillioli, Corporate Development and Planning President of Real Hotels Resorts.

But, Choice Hotels will provide all the information required by the local hotel to operate under the brand.

If the hotel owners join one of the global brands like Comfort Inn, Quality, Clarion or Sleep Inn, the recognition worldwide is a major advantage. Visitors who look over the Internet feel safer by choosing a known brand name.

But not only that, being under the brand of Choice Hotels, also makes the hotel part of a global reservation system.

Economically, for every dollar that the hotel contributes for the franchise,it will earn at least $3, just because having the mark, because depending on the hotel, 30% of the customers hosted feel confidence with a specific brand.

At present, Choice Hotels has a presence in the Costa Rica Real Estate Market with three of his four seals. There is a Quality Inn Hotel, a Clarion and Sleep Inn. All located in San Jose.

Most likely the first two expansions are in San Jose. If given the opportunity to franchise a third hotel, it would be in a tourist area.
