The highway through the path called "La Platina" located over the Virilla River in General Cañas highway, were having an expansion work that finished yesterday, now it's fully working again.

This is one the most important roads in Costa Rica, this expansion helped to reduce the large amount of cars that needed to travel among this highway, this road (which joins the metropolitan area with Alajuela and Heredia), is used daily by a lot of workers who need to travel from their Costa Rica Property to their jobs.

It's expansion now allows it to operate up to 4 lanes, one important thing to know about this highway it's that the outside lane it's only for buses, but the Ministry of Transportation its evaluating the posibility of habilitate it for normal transit.

For now the night closures continue, just to finish some minor details that still pending, the highway will be closed from 10.30 pm to 5 am until new reports.
